Red Casino is home to more than just online slot games. You can also find online versions of popular casino games, including blackjack.
Online blackjack uses a Random Number Generator (RNG) rather than a dealer to produce the outcome – i.e. the cards that are dealt.
You can find a range of different online blackjack games here at Red Casino, some varying in bet amounts and other variations offering different gameplay experiences.

All of our online blackjack games offer the chance to potentially win real money. The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) doesn’t allow free play options, and as a fully licensed and regulated online casino, we only offer real money games.
That means that you play online blackjack with deposited funds for the chance to potentially win real money and keep what you win.
So, if you’ve been looking for somewhere to play blackjack for real money online, your search is over.
We also have live blackjack games here at Red Casino. These blackjack games use a real dealer rather than an RNG to facilitate the game.
The live dealer is in a studio at a table. They shuffle and deal the cards as they would in a brick-and-mortar casino; the only difference is that they are doing so in front of a camera, and the footage is live-streamed. Players join the game and use the display on their screens to place bets and make decisions.
Players can also communicate with each other and the dealer through the in-game chat function. Live blackjack games offer the convenience of online casinos as well as the atmosphere and the more social aspect of brick-and-mortar casinos.
Blackjack is a game that pits you against the dealer. You add the value of the cards in your hand to get your total. The aim is to have a hand total closer to 21 than the dealer without going over – this is called going bust and results in an automatic loss.
You place your bet before the cards are dealt. The dealer then deals two cards to all players and themselves. All players’ cards are dealt face-up, whilst one of the dealer’s cards is kept face-down.
The player to the left of the dealer goes first, and then it follows this direction around the table until all players have had their turn. If a player goes bust, they lose their bet, and whatever happens on the dealer’s turn does not concern them. The dealer plays last.
So, after the dealer draws your two cards, you add their face values together (face/royal cards are worth 10, and aces can be worth 1 or 11). You can then decide to ‘Hit’ or ‘Stand’. If you choose to hit, the dealer draws you another card. If you choose to stand, you end the round with your current total.
The dealer’s turn begins by revealing their face-down card. If this results in a higher hand than any of the players still in the game, those players lose. If a player still has a higher-value hand, then the dealer may hit until they win or go bust, depending on their hand’s value and the rules of that particular game. Some games have the dealers hit on 17, whilst others may have them stand on 17.
Blackjack has a house edge of around 2%. However, this can potentially end up as low as 0.5% if using blackjack basic strategy effectively.
We’ve covered the basics of how to play blackjack. Now it’s time to discuss some important rules.
Some blackjack games allow you to split pairs. This means that if your initial two cards are of the same denomination (e.g. two 7s or two queens), you can split them into two separate hands and receive an additional two cards – one to complete each of the newly-formed hands. However, you have to place a wager of equal value to your initial bet on the new hand. These are then treated as two separate players.
Some games also offer the option to Double Down. This is where you can make a bet equal to your initial bet to receive just one more card and end your turn.
There is also a side bet called an insurance bet. You can place this bet for up to half of your initial bet amount if the dealer’s up-card is an ace, and you are betting on the dealer having a natural (2-card blackjack) – i.e. betting on the dealer’s face-down card having a value of 10. This bet offers a payout at 2:1 odds if you win.
If you receive a natural on your first two cards, you could win a payout of 3:2, but only if the dealer does not also have a natural. If they do, then the result is a push, which means you receive your initial wager back.

Online blackjack uses a Random Number Generator (RNG) rather than a dealer with a real deck of cards, so the results are generated much faster. It also allows the game to essentially shuffle the deck after each round, which makes counting cards far more difficult than it already is.
Yes. Online blackjack uses an RNG to produce random outcomes. It works by taking a seed value and running it through a complex algorithm to produce a random number sequence. Each number sequence corresponds to a random outcome (i.e. a random card drawn). The RNG produces millions of number sequences a second, making it impossible to predict.
The odds of winning blackjack online are the same as in a standard game of blackjack: around 42%. Of course, this can vary slightly if the player has a bit more experience and implements basic strategy, but these are the approximate odds based on a standard round of blackjack for casual players.
If you get a 2-card blackjack (also called a natural), you win a payout of 3:2 as long as the dealer does not also have a blackjack. If the dealer does have a blackjack, then it results in a push, and you simply get to keep your wager.
